Highlighting emergency calls in Microsoft Teams could become much simpler in the near future, according to a new upgrade to the service.
Administrators will finally be able to design customizable banners inside Microsoft Teams which will warn users whenever an emergency call comes in.
This should make these calls stand out to users right away, especially if their concentration is split among a lot of different things.
According to the corporation’s official post on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, users will be able to accept their administrator’s message by clicking on the banner inside a Microsoft Teams call.
For the time being, the functionality is still very much in development, but Microsoft, known for products like SharePoint, has assigned an April 2022 release date, implying that it might appear soon.
When it is released, the feature will be available to Microsoft Teams customers worldwide on PC and Mac devices.
The announcement is part of a lengthy sequence of changes and updates made to Teams in the past months as the corporation strives to guarantee hybrid and remote employees can continue to benefit from its collaboration platform.
