Google Workspace sharing
The new interface shows the “People with access” option which highlights Google account users with “Owner, Viewer, Commenter, and Editor” permissions. The owner holds the top prominent spot.
Here, you can “Remove access” or “Transfer ownership” as well. Although personal users cannot transfer ownership to corporate users and vice versa.
Under “General access” option contains the link generator as well as editing features for people who view the file through the link. Workspace users can grant access to anyone in their company to view task performance.
The share sheet is also accessible through the “File” menu, in the “Share with other” options. To share editing rights with more than 100 people, Google suggests utilizing the “Publish to web” option.
You can access this option via the “File” menu. The software company suggests users create a Google Site for a large sum of readers, in which Docs, Sheets, and Slides can be embedded.
The additional “Settings” menu holds two additional choices, providing more detailed control over users. Here editors can change and share permissions and viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print, and copy.
Sharing with other Google account users was previously the most visible option in the share sheet. It was shown with the link generator a few more clicks away. In comparison to the previous design, this redesign makes it convenient and simpler to share with more people.
